Visualization - imprinting patterns of success

Visualization is a fabulously powerful technique well known to top performing athletes and other professionals at the "top of their game". It is the process of visualizing in your mind what ever it is you want to achieve. So for example a sprint runner would visualize himself winning his race, he would view his success in his mind, he would experience in minute detail every aspect of the race, from a perfect start, to a perfectly timed finish. By the time he gets to the real race, he's already won it several times, in his mind he has already successfully executed every aspect of his race perfectly. The pattern of success is firmly imprinted in his mind. When the start gun fires, everything will run to his internal script automatically. This gives a powerful advantage.

I think anyone can see the power of this mental process. Visualization is all about achieving things. The interesting thing for us is that this technique works for anything that we want to do, visualizing yourself achieving success at whatever it is you want to achieve, dramatically improves your chances of achieving it. These benefits have been proven by many experiments.

Visualization techniques can be applied to almost every aspect of human endeavour, from goal setting, sports performance, self-healing and memory improvement, to problem-solving and decision-making.

Putting Yourself First - Daily Self-Care

We have all heard the instructions of an airline attendant reminding us to put on our own oxygen mask before we help anyone else with theirs. This advice is often cited as a metaphor for self-care because it so accurately expresses why it is important. It seems to say, ironically, that if you can’t take care of yourself for yourself, do it for others. Few situations in our daily lives mimic the wake-up call of an airplane emergency, so it’s easy to keep putting self-care off—easy, that is, until we get sick, overwhelmed, or exhausted, and suddenly don’t have the energy to care for the people who count on us. That’s when we realize we haven’t been getting the oxygen we need to sustain ourselves. We begin to understand that taking care of ourselves is neither selfish nor indulgent; it’s just plain practical.

Putting yourself first means that it may be necessary to say no to someone else in order to say yes to yourself. For many of us, there is always something we feel we could be doing for someone else, and it helps to remember the oxygen metaphor. You can even encourage yourself by saying "I am caring for myself so that I am better able to care for others" or some other mantra that will encourage you. It also helps to remember that self-care doesn’t have to be composed of massively time-consuming acts. In fact, the best prescription for taking care of yourself is probably small, daily rituals; for example, taking one half-hour for yourself at the beginning and end of the day to meditate, journal, or just be. You might also transform the occasional daily shower or bath into a half-hour self-pampering session.

Whatever you decide, making some small gesture where you put yourself first every day will pay off in spades for you and the ones you love. The oxygen you need is all around you; sometimes you just need to be reminded to breathe.

Network Marketing Techniques……

Well you have finally decided to start a networking business – or maybe you are considering getting involved in a Multi-Level Marketing Business. There are definitely some tips that I would like to share with you regarding effective networking. This list is by no means complete it just gives you some of the basic elements that I feel as though are important and effective in networking. You must first realize that to be successful in the networking business you must build relationships with individuals through trust and I believe that you must have a passion for what it is you are doing. You must build a relationship in which you become friends, wherein you both help each other as well as become referral base for one another.

First of all you need to realize that networking is a matter of building both personal and trusting relationships – and by helping each other when the need arises.

You need to become involved in networking groups where you can meet other individuals that are interested in growing their business as well as looking to develop a solid networking base and friendships. I have found that one great resource readily available to any area are the ‘meet-up’ groups. You can also find a number of groups on Facebook and Linkedin. You might want to join individual organizations that are of interest to you or possibly become involved in volunteering. Volunteering is a great way to give back to groups and people that have helped you. All of these suggestions, and there are so many more, will assist you along the way in developing meaningful and trusting relationships leading to a networking base.

When you meet someone make the conversation about them. You want them to realize that you ARE interested in them and that you are genuinely interested in who they are and what they do. Try to ask them open-ended questions instead of asking them straight ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions. This allows you to really get to know the person. Remember that people will remember how you make them “feel” and not necessarily what you said to them. It is important that they go away with the feeling that you ‘care’.

Offer to help them in anyway that you can – your goal is to be a powerful resource for them. Someone they can turn to for ideas, names of other people, suggestions, ideas, etc. This will keep you in their mind.

You might also want to send them an occasional e-mail just to say hi -- or better yet a card or the like (for that we can provide you with a powerful resource). Let them know that they are important to you.

Try to make others understand exactly what it is you offer and how it makes you special or different from the rest of the people doing the same thing. In order to get referrals – you must have a clear definitive message that is easily understood by not only yourself but to others.

Don’t be afraid to ask others to help you or to offer them help. We all have needs and if someone asks you if they can help you – make sure you have a definite answer to give them. Maybe they could help you with an idea, maybe you could ask them for referrals, etc. It is important that you have an answer when you are asked that question.

If someone sends you a referral – make sure you immediately follow up with that person – by doing so you are sending and creating a reflection of you and how you do business. You will find that it also send a message and creates an image to the person that sent you the referral. You want to earn respect and loyalty from people.

Should you meet someone new - call them and ask them if you can meet for a one on one meeting. You can share ideas, brainstorm and develop one more meaningful relationship. We can all learn from each other and benefit from each other. So take advantage – people are willing to share with you when they feel as though you care.

Relationship Management

To some of you this term may not be totally familiar. In business you can survive or not, based upon this concept. Actually the “business speak” term/ acronym is Customer Relationship Management or CRM. In fact there are some major companies out there that have made their whole business about helping other businesses with their CRM systems. What is Customer Relationship Management” and why is it different then just “Relationship Management”?

Being the analyst that I am, I always like to start with dictionary definitions and work my way from there. After all it is always best to quote an expert or non-refutable source. In this case it is www.dictionary.com.

Relationship: (noun); a connection, association, or involvement; connection between persons by blood or marriage; an emotional or other connection between people: e.g. the relationship between teachers and students; a particular type of connection existing between people related to or having dealings with each other: e.g. has a close relationship with his siblings; an existing connection; a significant association between people or among things.
Synonyms: interconnection, interdependence, interrelationship, link

Bare with me as I go a bit deeper.
Relations: (noun); the various connections between peoples, countries; the various connections in which persons are brought together: business and social relations; a meaningful connection or association between two or more people or things, e.g. one based on the similarity, relevance or dependence of one person/ thing to another; The mutual dealings or connections of persons, groups, or nations in social, business, or diplomatic matters. From the Latin; relationem (nom. relatio) meaning; "a bringing back, restoring”.
Management: (verb/ noun); the act or manner of managing; handling, direction, or control; skill in managing; to bring about or succeed in accomplishing, (sometimes despite difficulty or hardship); to dominate or influence (a person) by tact, flattery, or artifice; to handle, direct, govern, or control in action or use; to direct or conduct business affairs.
Synonyms: direction; supervision; preservation

You are probably thinking, “Wow! I am impressed, he can quote the dictionary.” Actually the definitions lead to interpretations which are the whole premise of this article. In the aforementioned definitions please note that I have brought to your attention various terms by boldly highlighting them. These terms, as I look at them, are deeply meaningful and personal in nature and talk about people, human beings, not a generic entity/ thing known as “a” or “the” customer. That’s right readers we are talking about people and getting personal. Maybe the better phrase is “Personal Relationship Management”. I hope you are ready for more, cuz here it comes!

I spent many years in corporate America and personally was involved in not less than 5 different implementations of Sales/ Contact/ CRM software packages. Every one of them had a common thread of being information managers/ databases. They were great for tracking details about customers. You know the usual information, name, company, phone, address, etc. There was a place for notes as well and a listing of all the “touches”. Management could look at the data and see who the salespersons had contacted, when and why. They even had e-mail blast capabilities. Not one of them had a personal touch or related to data entries as people. Let’s face it; there was nothing about maintaining a relationship with the person attached to the name. To me it was a database of information designed so that if a Salesperson left the company, the data remained so that the next rep in that territory had names and numbers to call. More of a CYA tool than a CRM tool. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that, every company has to know who the customers or potential customers are and what their status is in the sales cycle, I just think it should be a bit more sincere and personal. After all we are talking about relationships, says so right in the software description, Customer Relationship Manager”.

The thing is that a company, seller or buyer, is made up of people. No people no company, no salespeople no sales, no persons as a buyer no buying and so on. Transactions, information exchange, etc. does not occur between two buildings or two computers. Computers keep records but they don’t really make a buying or selling decision; that takes people. Many companies have great products or services to offer and on that alone you would think their success will be automatic. The reality is unless someone knows what you have to offer or the kind of company you are, they can’t or won’t do business with you. To quote a favorite movie of mine; “If you build it, they will come” is not necessarily true. The word has to get out about you, your product, your company, etc. The most effective marketing tool is word of mouth or referrals from those who know you and are satisfied with doing business with you. You know that old adage about everyone knows 10 people and will tell those 10 people who in turn will tell 10 people… But beware word of mouth is also the fastest way dissatisfaction or poor quality (we will talk about quality in a different article) is shared, so treat them right the first time, all the time. Some businesses simply cannot grow without that referral or proclamation of satisfaction from others. Those “others” are people who are actually reacting with some sort of emotion or feeling about who (that is a people reference folks) they are doing business with. This is particularly true of small businesses, Real Estate, Car Sales, Home Services, etc. The bottom line is; that it is more so the relationships created than the product itself that really grows your business and that other bottom line, the financial bottom line.

A great way to create and preserve the relationship is through personal correspondence. Not an e-mail but a card or a note in your own handwriting. Not really a unique concept since handwriting notes is probably the second oldest form of communication. The first being grunting if you were a caveman or of course as we evolved grunts were turned into the spoken word. The top form of communication with your relations is the face to face conversation where it is not only the spoken word but the body language that conveys your message (that is a different article as well). But I digress, back to the written communication method of relationship management. How do you feel when you get a card in the mail with a personal message? I dare say not one of us doesn’t like that. In fact the only thing better is that same card with a check, cash or gift card in it. Generally those cards only come from family on special occasions. Actually those sorts of cards can also be a key ingredient of building that relationship with clients or customers, at least the gift card part.

Okay so overall the handwritten note sounds like a relatively good and simple plan, right? So why don’t we do it? Time is probably the biggest issue. It takes time to find a suitable card or buy printed note cards in bulk, it takes time to actually write the note, put it in the envelope, seal it, stamp it and get it into the mail. Not only that but when you add it all up it could cost you upwards of $5.00 per note including your time. Heck even with my slow keyboard capabilities I can send an e-mail in much less time and it is basically free. Does a personal note really make that big a difference? I am not going to answer that question instead I will let Tom Hopkins, America’s foremost sales trainer, answer that.

Tom Hopkins built a very profitable real estate business in three years. He reveals his secret; developing the Thank You Note Habit. Tom says, “Because I understood building relationships is what selling is all about, I began early in my career to send thank you notes to people. I set a goal to send ten thank you notes every day. That goal meant that I had to meet and get the names of at least ten people every day. I sent thank you notes to people I met briefly, people I showed properties to, people I talked with over the phone, and people I actually helped to own new homes. I became a thank you note fool! Guess what happened? By the end of my third year in sales, my business was 100% referrals! Family, Friends, Clients & Customer Relationships


Today I am choosing to address a topic that many of us tend to let fall through the cracks. How important do you think it is to make someone SMILE? I think it is ULTRA important. How many of you can pinpoint the number of times that YOU did something special for someone - anyone! How about if I told you it is more simple than you might think?

We all have to keep up with family and friends birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, get wells, etc. How many of you try to keep up with your customers/clients by saying thank you to them or it was a pleasure to meet you or just send them a quick e-mail? How many times have you had to run to and from the card store - the task involves taking time out of your schedule for commuting; then we stand there while trying to decide exactly which card has the appropriate verbiage, now we need to incorporate our own personal message, address the envelope, purchase postage and finally get to the post office. Your time is valuable and many times the things we want to do or know that we should do get pushed aside or end up on the bottom rung of the ladder of important things to do.

We all have available to us a great system that allows us to not only develop great customer relations but also to maintain our personal individual relationships. Wouldn't you enjoy just sitting at your computer and creating a personal greeting card for someone that is special to you? Not just a nice Hallmark e-mail card but a genuine greeting card delivered by the US Postal Service. How about creating a customized card for the business associate you just met - maybe include his/hers logo on the card? We each have our own individual style and ideas so why not share them and allow others to see a side of us that we don't typically talk about instead of using a "card stores" choice of cards for a specific event.

Up until the time that we started using this system, known as "SendOutCards" we were guilty of not always following up with people. I had a terrible habit of missing special occasions for those that are near and dear to me simply because I neglected or forgot to get to the store to purchase a card. I then found myself resorting to e-cards. Although I was able to create my own verbiage they were still missing the personal touch by allowing someone to actually receive and hold the card in hand. You can even create your cards using your own handwriting font and 95% of the cards Eric and I send out have a personal picture, of some sort, on the front of them. You can allow your creative expression to go wild or should you choose to send a stock card you have the privilege to choose from over 1,500+ ready made cards.

Using this system has created a wonderful new opportunity for us - we meet someone and we always follow up with a personal "It was nice to meet you card". We can specify the event or situation where we met, therefore allowing the person to feel special because we remembered THEM. Another benefit is that if you want to say "Thank You" to someone in a monetary way - you can choose to have a "Gift Card" sent to your recipient in your card. You will find a selection from a variety of sources (Home Depot, Walmart/Restaurants/American Express/Bed Bath & Beyond/etc.) which are available in a number of denominations.

Customer and Individual relationships are what we as people are built on. I know I enjoy sending something to someone just because I want them to SMILE when they go to their mailbox and receive something other than a bill or junk mail.

A Vision and/or Dream Board - What is It and Why Should I Have One?

Have you heard about Dream and/or Vision Boards? Well they have been featured on many shows and many seminars that I have attended have incorporated the idea of a Dream Board into their contents. They are simple to make and all the tools you need are poster board and/or a corkboard, and glue and/or push pins. You will also need some magazines and a clear internal vision as to what it is you want. The first step in being successful is knowing what it is you are working towards. Ask you yourself “What are my goals”, “Why am I in business”,“What drives me”, or “Where do I want to be”, etc. We are all in business for a reason – what is yours? There are times when we are in business and we forget the actual reason as to why we are in business or what our goals are because we get distracted with all of the everyday occurrences of running a business not to mention the days when we feel as though we just keep getting rejection after rejection. We need to Stop and Focus on our wants, desires, dreams and remember what it is that is driving you be successful or what is the reason you got into business in the first place. One way to do this is to create a dream/vision board.

ABOUT DREAM BOARDS

A dream board is a visual representation of what we would like to achieve in our life. Similar to goal setting, a dream board takes it to the next level by providing a multi-sensory experience of our goals. The concept is that we attract to us what we think. If we focus on the things we've always wanted in our lives through visualization, then those things will be attracted to us. By having a vision board we can remind ourselves though our visual sensory as to where we are going, what we want, what is driving us, etc. Take for example one of my goals is to have a Harley Davidson bike. I have found a picture of the exact bike that I want, color, style, etc. and put it on my board. I believe in its existence and that it will come to me. When I see other bikes I tell the universe that I can’t wait till I can be riding through the mountains or down a country road. I talk to myself as if I have it – it is going to be! You must believe with the core of your being. Don’t tell yourself “I hope that one day….” or “I wish I could have one but …” just tell yourself you will own one and be thankful for the day that you will receive it!

HOW TO CREATE ONE

You can create your dream board in a number of ways. One of the most common is to cut pictures out of magazines or print them off the internet and place them onto a background (poster board, cork board, etc). I believe that there is also software that you can get off the internet to help create one. I have also incorporated many words into my board – words such as “Success”, “Helping one Another”, “Financial Independence”, “The Destination is not as important as The Journey”, “Remember to Dream”, “Dance Like No one is Watching”, “Someday starts with today”, etc. These words help me to focus on what and who I am and help to remind me as well as the pictures I have placed on my board.

WHAT TO PUT ON YOUR BOARD

Your dream board should contain images of the things that you want in your life. For example, if you want to take a trip to Alaska - you may decide to place a picture of Alaska on your board, are you looking for a specific automobile – well design it online and print a picture of it and place that on your board, how about a boat? The thoughts and/or dreams are endless but remember they are your own dreams and you own them. Create them – the power of the mind in believing is a powerful tool.
Your board should create the five main areas in your life: Financial, Spiritual, Relationships, Physical, and Intellectual. It is a daily ongoing work in progress. As more things come to mind – add them to your board and you may want to remove the images of things as you achieve them. Personally I keep the images of what I have achieved but place them on another board to remind me of what it is I have received and achieved.

WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR BOARD

You want to hang your dream board somewhere where you will see it every day at least once. Make sure you use it, otherwise it is a waste of time and effort. Just take a few minutes out of your day to focus on the images on your board. Personally I take a few minutes out of my morning and my evening to look over my board – I find it a positive way to begin and end each day. Some days when I am getting a bit down and out I will stop and look at my board to remind me of why it is I am in business. Think about what your life will be like when you achieve all of these things and how thankful you will be to have received such wonderful gifts from the universe. To me being Thankful is a crucial step in our receiving. Think about how much better you life is because of all of these things. Visualization and Belief is what it takes.
Have fun when you go through this exercise. Use it in conjunction with a wall of gratitude and a vision statement and see what results you get.

Rules of Attraction - How to Attract abundance in your life!

This is a great article that I enjoyed reading. Although I do my best to incorporate the Laws of Attraction into my life on a daily basis - every now and then I feel as though we all need a bit of reinforcement.

It's as if Brett was born under a lucky star - and considering the fortune that fills his life, it sure is one heck of a lucky star! He has a good family, a wonderful set of friends, a stable and well-paid job and killer looks. He has everything that anyone would die for just to have. Ladies admire him and gentlemen want to be like him. But Brett's fortune isn't because of astrology or anything of the sort. He says that his secret lies in knowing the rules of attraction. When he told me about it, I initially thought that it was a hoax - especially when he told me that such rules of attraction could impact an individual's overall life. But when he explained to me the following principles underlying the rules of attraction, I was convinced that he wasn't just pulling my leg.

• We create our own reality. We attract to ourselves what we want and what we do not want through our thoughts and feelings. If we focus on hating our jobs, we will fail to see the satisfying point of our employment ergo we won't have a happy work life.

• Be wary of having the not enough disposition. If we dwell on what we do not have or if we are too focus on the idea that what we have is too meager, it really won't matter if we have a million bucks attached to our names, for us it will still be not enough. When we always think about the things in life that we are lacking, we end up creating a less than reality even when we should really be happy with the abundance that we have been given.

• The secret is to use the power of affirmation. If we get rid of the I-feel-sorry-for-myself mantra and do away with all those negative phrases that infest the human mind, we can attract good things. We must remember to break the habit of attracting whatever is negative which we unintentionally invite to our lives through our negative thinking.

• Evaluate. We should ask ourselves about what we really want and then gear our actions towards that.

• Believe. We should push doubt out of our lives by having faith that what we want can and will become ours.

• Receive and act. We should grab every opportunity that will take us a step closer to our goals.

Yes we can attract abundance in our lives - it is just a matter of knowledge coupled with the right attitude. The rules of attraction simply tell us that life is what we make it. Our choices and our mindset draw the line between success and failure. Furthermore, the rules of attraction remind us of the power of staying positive - a difficult task for anyone who gets easily discouraged when faced with failure and disappointment. But let us keep in mind that we have the power to attract abundance - so long as we know what we want, believe that we can get it and strive for it.

There are four exact parts to the recruiting process that must be done with anyone you talk to about your business. Any script you use should include all four of them. When you are really good at it, you will not need a script. It is all conversational.

  • Contact the person.
  • Handle any negativity, antagonism or hostility (if any).
  • Find the key frustration or problem.
  • Present the solution.

These are the same with any business. The only one that is optional is step 2 (the handle step) because many people will have no upset with the fact that you have contacted them.

The most common mistake is to leave out step 3 (finding the key frustration or problem). When this part is left out, there is no real reason for the prospect to move forward with purchasing your product, service or opportunity.

Here is a more in-depth description of each step:

1. Contact the person:

This is where you simply get the person on the phone, tell them who you are, who you are with, and why you called.

2. Handle any negativity, antagonism or hostility:

This step is optional...and ONLY used where a person puts up a bit of resistance to speaking with you, whether it be antagonism or just that they still don't understand why you called.

Here are some examples of what you may need to handle as well as some examples of what to say if and when they occur:

How did you get my name?

"You filled out a questionnaire on our website and indicated that you were interested in hearing about ways to make money online."

I'm not interested.

"Not interested in making money or not interested in helping people?"

What company are you with again?

"I'm with __________...have you heard of us?"

I don't have time right now.

"What time can I call you back today? It's really important that we talk."

Is this going to cost me anything?

"Not if you don't want it to."

These are just a few examples. There can be as many variations of this as there are people on Earth. The idea is to answer the person's question or respond to their remark, then gently guide them back into communication with you.

3. Find the key frustration or problem:

What you are doing here is "salvaging" the person. The definition of "salvage" is "to save from ruin." Every person you speak with has a key frustration or problem that they know is holding them back from success. Find that, point it out to the person as THE reason they are failing in their business and you will win and they will win. What is ruining their dreams? What is messing them up? What do they feel unconfident about? In what area do they feel the most inadequate? It must be a condition that is REAL to the individual as an unwanted condition that is holding him or her back, or at least one that can be MADE real to him or her.

This is the "interview" part of the process...but it's a little different than what you may have been taught because you are specifically looking for the key frustration the person has had with regards to building a business, or a key frustration in life, or anything that your product, service or opportunity can help them resolve.

4. Present the solution:

This is basically bringing him or her to the understanding that your product, service or opportunity WILL resolve their key frustration or problem from step 3. Once the person is aware of what is stopping him or her from having success...once you know what that "key frustration" is, you bring about an understanding that your product, service or opportunity can handle THAT condition. This is done by simply making the statement that "we can handle it" or show that "we can handle it" with examples. Once the person has this understanding, this is when you send them to your website to enroll....and not before!

Put these steps to use right away. If you are using a script for contacting leads, be sure it utilizes all four of these steps or you will never get the kind of results you are looking for.

Mom was right about lots of things: eating your vegetables, washing your hands and never running with scissors.

But some of her other medical advice -- such as waiting an hour after eating before swimming -- just doesn't hold water, according to the authors of two new books about health myths.

But mothers shouldn't get all the blame for dubious medical advice. Doctors dispense plenty of it, too, says Andrew Adesman, a pediatrician at New York's Schneider Children's Hospital and author of Babyfacts: The Truth About Your Child's Health From Newborn Through Preschool (Wiley, $15.95).

The problem is that many important medical questions have never been answered, at least not with rigorous clinical trials. When in doubt, doctors often fall back on what their own mentors taught them, without questioning the evidence on which their advice is based, say Indiana University School of Medicine pediatricians Aaron Carroll and Rachel Vreeman.

"It's amazing how often doctors will speak with a lot of authority when there's no evidence that they're right and, unfortunately, even when there's some evidence to show that they're wrong," says Carroll, co-author with Vreeman of Don't Swallow Your Gum! Myths, Half-Truths and Outright Lies About Your Body and Health (St. Martin's Griffin, $13.95). "A frighteningly large amount of what we do is just our best guess."

Carroll and Vreeman say patients should feel free to ask their doctors about the sources of their data. In their book, they go over some of the basic types of medical studies, noting which are the strongest.

So what can patients believe? Not these medical wives' tales:

Sugar makes kids hyper. Parents insist this one is true, even though 12 studies have shown no effect between children's behavior and the sugar in their foods.

You can prevent colds with vitamin C, echinacea or zinc. All colds eventually go away on their own after a few days, so people can be tempted to credit their recovery to something they did to find relief. But 16 studies show that echinacea is no better than a sugar pill. Thirty studies including a total of 11,000 people found vitamin C had no effect. Three of four well-done studies of zinc found no effect. But using zinc nasal gel can destroy the sense of smell for years.

Adding cereal to a baby's diet will help him sleep longer. Parents and pediatricians alike are perpetuating that myth, perhaps because sleep-deprived parents are willing to believe anything that might help them and their infants get more sleep. But studies dating to 1974 show that babies who are fed cereal get no more sleep than other babies.

Iron in baby formula causes constipation. Studies actually have found no difference in baby's bowel movements, whether infants received iron-fortified food or not. But babies who get iron-fortified formula are less likely to be anemic.

Teething causes a fever. Studies show that teething babies are no more likely to run a fever than others.

Going out in cold or wet weather makes you sick. Colds and flus are seasonal and tend to strike during the winter. But even when scientists put cold viruses directly into people's noses, people who were chilled were no more likely to become ill than those who were warm and comfortable.

You should wait an hour after eating before you go swimming. Scientists have labeled that advice "questionable" since 1961. Exercising after eating a big meal may make people feel uncomfortable, but it won't cause life-threatening cramps.

You can catch poison ivy from someone who has it. The oil in poison ivy, urushiol, is what causes the itchy rash -- whether the oil comes directly from the plant or from clothing or gardening tools on which the oil lands. But the rash itself isn't contagious, as long as a person has since washed off the oil.

You need to stay awake if you have a concussion. Most people with concussions will not fall into comas if they go to sleep. If a doctor says the concussion needs no treatment, there's no reason not to sleep.

Never wake a sleepwalker. No sleepwalker has ever died as a result of being woken up.

You can determine the gender of your baby by timing when you have sex. Some people try to conceive a boy by having sex in the middle of a woman's menstrual cycle, hoping that the more mobile sperm carrying a Y chromosome are more likely to penetrate the cervical mucus, which is thicker at this time of the month. But an analysis of six studies found there were no more boys conceived at this time of the month than girls.

Birth control pills don't work as well if you're on antibiotics. A review by the American Academy of Family Physicians found common antibiotics have no effect on the pill.

We have choices. We can either wallow in the current economic negativity or, focus our energy on thriving and prospering. A positive mental attitude may very well be the difference between succeeding financially and struggling to keep our heads above the financial turmoil.

Linda's Personal Testimonial

I wanted to give you all an update regarding my health since beginning the regimen of Qivana.

I began taking the product approximately 10 days ago - and what a difference I have noticed. The first product being the Stabilizer (Pro-biotic) has made a very big difference in the efficiency of my digestive system. Prior to taking the product I had a condition known as IBO and it has since gone into remission or gone away - either way I am so much more comfortable and content. I was unable to eat fast foods without severe discomfort and I put the product to the test by eating both McDonalds and Burger King. Needless to say I had absolutely no problems at all.

The second phase of the system is Vitalization. I began taking the product and I definitely feel more focused and energized but NOT hyper. Morning everyone! Eric here.
Linda is returning today from Knoxville so I thought I would jump in and share some things.

Life truly is a journey and I am thrilled that I get to share mine with Linda. Every journey starts with a vision and destinations or realizations along the way. Without vision how can you start your journey or know which way to go? We have a very real vision and travel in that direction, much like a ship using a lighthouse to guide them or perhaps even a wolf leading his pack. The next stop for us is to realize financial freedom so that we can enjoy things like higher education for our kids and grandchildren as well as a the opportunity to live our dreams like hopping on the Harley and heading to mountain lake house. More about those later.

For the financial freedom, we are partnered with Qivana to help promote good health for ourselves,our family as well as friends old and new alike (remember there are no strangers, just friends you haven't met yet). Having received our first shipment and using the system, we ourselves are the first testimonials of how well the product works!

For example, fast food burgers that normally cause us distress; have not affected either of us, not that we want to make a habit of fast food burgers but we are amazed at how we felt after using the Qore probiotic. Or that it is 9:00 am here in Columbus on a Sunday after getting to bed at about 1:15 (I work late most Saturdays)and I am already up and ready to go thanks to Qore essentials! Here goes:

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person..
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you
have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance
and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their
work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to
share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never do ne.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

My Marketing Techinques

Running a small business together with getting it out there to the right people can be a very difficult and tedious task for some of us/you. There are many people out there that think that just because they have a great product it would be an easy sell. Let me share my latest experience with you...I have been out there, on the streets, trying to make sales. Well I went into GNC the other day and was speaking with Doyle, the Manager, about the product and his defenses were up big time. All I was doing was asking him to review the information and give me some feedback - no signing up, no pressure - just please give me some validation/opinions on my product since he is obviously well educated in the field of nutrition. Well, needless to say I asked him for a phone number and he declined saying that he would review and e-mail me. Okay so I let two days go by - no word from him so I called him at the store. Yes he was working and he gave me a minute while I asked him if he had a chance to review information. His reply to me a great big juicy "NO - not yet". I then proceeded to inquire as to whether or not I could call him back in a few days and he was very short and curt only to tell me that he would rather I did not call him and that 'when' he has a chance to review he will e-mail me with his findings and thoughts. Okay - that one bombed out on me - but then I listened to a Qivana conference call that very night on the phone and got even more ideas on how to approach potential customers and just because that one contact failed - I am going to approach Chiropractors in the area. Now because I am primarily new to this particular concept of selling (even tho I sold real estate for many years) I am out there posting in whatever Group I can find as well as adding more and more information to my blog, I have adopted Magnetic Sponsoring into my venture, and also joined Partner Up. I guess what I am trying to get across to all of you is that when we make a decision to become an Independent Business Owner - the customers and /or potential IBO's don't just come to us -- we need to be pro-active in our search. One on one networking is also a great place to start - try going to Meetup.com and join some local groups in your area where networking and sharing your business is basically mandatory, therefore not making you feel as though you should not be sharing your product or business venture. Also check out the Chamber of Commerce in your area.

Many people, however, believe that there is one age that eclipses the others. They expend energy trying to reach it and, once it has passed, trying to retain it. But wishing to be younger or older is a denial of the joys that have been and the joys yet to be, as well as the beauty of your life in the present. Holding on to one age can make it difficult to appreciate each new milestone you reach. Taking pleasure in the delights of your age, whether you are in your 20s, 40s, 60s, or 80s, can help you see the magnificence and usefulness of the complex seasons of your life.

Each new year gifted to us by the universe is replete with exciting and unfamiliar experiences. In our 20s, we can embrace the energy of youth and the learning process, knowing it’s okay to not have all the answers. As we move through our third decade, we grow more self-assured as the confusion of our young adulthood melts away. We can honor these years by putting aside our fears of aging and concentrating instead on solidifying our values and enjoying our growing emotional maturity. In our 40s, we become conscious of the wisdom we have attained through life experience and are blessed with the ability to put it to good use. We are not afraid to explore unfamiliar territory or to change. In our 50s, we tend to have successfully navigated our midlife reevaluations and have prioritized our lives. In the decades beyond, we discover a greater sense of freedom than we have ever known and can truly enjoy the memory of all we’ve seen and done.

Try to enjoy the age you are at now, for each age presents its own unique wisdom to savor.
